Byz Empire was founded by Amarildo Bojko and Kelly Guerrero in 2018 in Philadelphia. After spending their career owning bars and as executive chefs of restaurants, it was finally time for them to have their own business.
Byz Empire is primarily Mediterranean cuisine with a Latin infusion twist. Amarildo is from Albania and Kelly is from Columbia, so they mix both worlds together in their cooking. Despite using spices from different parts of the world, the end result is a similar flavor profile across styles of cuisines!
They’re signature dishes are their eggplant rollatini, fresh fish from a hatchery in the Poconos (fresh trout is their go to favorite), fresh hand-made pastas using Castle Valley Mill flour, and oven-roasted chicken (marinated for over 72 hours!). Byz Empire’s most popular dish is their Outlaw Fries topped with melted cheddar, pulled pork (“pernil”), garlic aioli, and scallions.
Byz Empire caters all types of events, from weddings to birthdays to corporate parties. They can serve your guests right from their food truck, set up a buffet, or serve a full plated meal. They look forward to working with you and wowing your guests at your next event!
