These offerings are sold online as well as at vending opportunities like farmers' markets, flea markets, pet events, etc. Owner Scott Mayhugh selects ingredients with well-documented health benefits to pets and never uses fillers or chemical preservatives. With pet health being discussed and researched more today than ever before, it is easy to see the benefits of healthy and natural snacks your pet will enjoy.
Enjoying a pet’s company, especially a dog’s, is intoxicating. Not much pleases owner Scott Mayhugh more than this exceptionally simple yet powerful interaction. So, to extend life expectancy, he decided to figure out why his dogs Bowie and Peanut were both overweight despite feeding recommended amounts of kibble and store-bought treats. Months were spent researching and experimenting with healthy treats and kibble toppers before the switch to all homemade. The difference in their health was drastic and evident with both losing significant weight with healthier coats and teeth. No more stranger’s comments about Bowie’s weight during walks since he lost nearly 30 pounds.
So many friends and family commented that this should be a business, so here we are.
Bow-Nut Bites is going to make them, sell them, and donate them to as many pets in Philadelphia and the surrounding areas as they can reach.
